Eligible applicants can apply online to open a Jan Aushadhi Kendra via the official portal: janaushadhi.gov.inSteps to Register and Apply
- Visit the official website: https://janaushadhi.gov.in
- Click Apply for Kendra in the main menu.
- On the opened page, new users can create an account by clicking on the "Register Now" link.
- Accordingly, the Jan Aushadhi Kendra Online Registration Form will open.
- Fill the registration form with
- Name
- Mobile Number
- Email ID,
- User ID & Password
- Click on the "Create an Account" tab.
- After registration is complete, make Login to Kendra using "Login" link.
- Once logged in, fill the details in the PMBJP Kendra application form, including:
- Shop address
- Pharmacist qualification documents (D.Pharm/B.Pharm)
- Details of shop space and storage facilities
- Submit the application and wait for confirmation from authorities
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:- Individuals should have D.Pharm or B.Pharm degree, or employ a qualified pharmacist
- NGOs and organizations must employ registered pharmacists
- Minimum shop space of 120 sq. ft with proper drug storage and pharmacy facilities
- Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) in rural areas are also eligible
Incentives and Profit Margins
The government provides financial incentives to encourage new Kendras:- Profit Margin: ~20% on medicines sold
- Government Incentive: Up to ₹5 lakh, calculated at 15% of monthly purchases (max ₹15,000/month)
- One-time Incentive: ₹2 lakh for Kendras opened by:
- Women entrepreneurs
- SC/ST applicants
- Divyang applicants
- Ex-servicemen
- Applicants from Aspirational districts
- Applicants from North-Eastern & Himalayan regions
