MP Laptop Yojana Latest Update (September 2026)

On 1st September 2026, Madhya Pradesh CM Dr. Mohan Yadav has transferred ₹25,000 each to the bank accounts of around 1.21 lakh meritorious students under the laptop assistance scheme. The assistance is being provided to help eligible Class 12 students purchase laptops for their higher education and digital learning.

According to the latest update, around 1.22 lakh students scored more than 75% in the MP Board Class 12 examination in 2025-26, making them eligible for the scheme. More than ₹304.98 crore is being transferred directly to the beneficiaries' bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

The government provides ₹25,000 as financial assistance instead of giving laptops directly. Students who pass the Class 12 examination with at least 75% marks in their first attempt are eligible for the assistance, subject to the applicable scheme conditions.

The Chief Minister also handed laptops to 10 students during the programme and interacted with meritorious students about their studies and career plans. The government says the assistance will help students access online learning, digital study material, e-learning platforms and other technology-based resources for higher education.
