One Time Registration (OTR) is a unique 14-digit identification number issued to students on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP). It eliminates the need for yearly registration and allows students to apply for multiple scholarships using a single ID.Once generated, OTR remains valid throughout the student’s academic career. Students can generate their OTR and apply for scholarships through the National Scholarship Portal.

Students must meet the following eligibility conditions to generate an NSP One Time Registration (OTR) number:
- The applicant must be seeking scholarship benefits through the National Scholarship Portal.
- Aadhaar Number or Aadhaar Enrollment ID (EID) is required for registration.
- The mobile number linked with Aadhaar should be active for OTP verification.
- Only one OTR can be generated for each student.
- The personal details entered during registration must match the Aadhaar database.
- Minor students can use the Aadhaar details of their parent or legal guardian where applicable.

Before applying for any scholarship, students must complete the One Time Registration (OTR) process.- First of all, visit the official website: National Scholarship Portal
- On the homepage, go to the "Get Your OTR" section and click "Apply Now" link or directly click NSP OTR Registration Page
- Then the page with One Time Registration (OTR) Guidelines for Scholarships Hosted on NSP will open.
- Read all guidelines carefully and tick the declaration checkbox.
- Click "Next" to proceed.
- Accordingly, NSP Scholarship Portal OTR Registration with Mobile Number will appear on your screen.
- Enter mobile number and click "GET OTP" button.
- Enter OTP received on your mobile number and captcha code.
- Click on the "Verify" button.
- After successful verification, the e-KYC page will open.
- Authenticate your information through UIDAI database and complete e-KYC.
- Finally, submit the application form to generate your OTR number.
